Providing valuable community resources is key to our mission!
The Ritz Chamber Players is a valuable arts resource for Jacksonville and communities throughout the United States. It is a privilege and responsibility to share the creativity, talents, time, and resources with audiences and other members of the chamber music community who are involved in educational musical endeavors. In order to share these artistic gifts and resources with our audience and community, the Ritz Chamber Players Society has established the following community service projects:

The Mini Ritz Conservatory provides complete funding to send minority students to the Prelude Chamber Music Camp. The program offers young musicians the opportunity to experience chamber music by participating and performing in small ensembles with guidance and training provided by professional musicians. The Prelude Chamber Music Camp was founded in 2002 by Jeanne Majors, Violinist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and her colleagues Vernon Humbert and Christopher Chappell. The camp is held at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church during the first two weeks of June. For consideration and application, go to http://www.preludechambermusic.org

The Ritz Chamber Players has a special outreach into the Elderly and Shut-In Community with performances at elderly centers as the NBA Cypress Village and Vicar's Landing. RCP joins with The Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine for a series of noon concerts within the Kinne Auditorium, Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine, 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32224.

The Ritz Chamber Players have a positive affect on
the lives of children through free educational activities, master classes
and performances geared toward the inner-city and underserved community
schools that have little or no arts programming. The Ritz Chamber Players
also distributes free concert tickets to special organizations that work
with children, including, Girls, Inc., Big Brothers, Big Sisters, The
Bridge Center, The Boys Clubs of America, and the Achiever’s of
the James Weldon Johnson YMCA.

Baltimore School for the Performing Arts
The Baltimore School for the Arts is a national leader in preparing students for careers in the arts. The school provides qualified students with intensive training in one of four arts disciplines: the visual arts, music, theatre, or dance in combination with a comprehensive, college preparatory academic program.
A further mission of the school is to serve as an arts resource for the Baltimore community by offering performances, educational workshops, and extensive after-school training in the arts to Baltimore children.
